Head of the Department of Tumor Growth Biology Research.
Under his leadership, specific features of hereditary cancer syndromes were studied and accessible detection methods for at-risk patients were introduced.
In 2012, the team led by Dr. Imyanitov discovered a new gene associated with hereditary breast cancer — BLM.
He works on developing molecular methods to increase both the clinical and economic effectiveness of anticancer drugs.
Currently heads the reference center for pathomorphological, immunohistochemical, molecular genetic, and radiological diagnostics at the N.N. Petrov National Medical Research Center of Oncology.
