The study authors evaluated Russian AI products using 29 criteria across six categories. The ranking shows which solutions are actually implemented in clinical practice and deliver measurable effects.
First place in the ranking went to K-Sky company with its Webiomed platform. The company's main goal is analyzing medical records and predicting complication risks for more than 50 diseases. The platform integrates data from electronic medical records of patients in 41 regions. The solution has demonstrated real clinical results: cardiovascular disease mortality in implementation regions decreased by 55.3%, while budget savings reached up to 277 million rubles per 1 million population annually.
Among the ranking leaders is also Celsus company, which is implementing radiological standards in AI. The Celsus.ai X-ray and CT analysis system is used in 55 regions. The algorithms detect pathologies of the lungs, spine, soft tissues and other organs with high accuracy.
Third Opinion combines diagnostic AI for X-ray and CT, video analytics for medical organizations, and an educational platform for physicians. For example, at EMC, the video surveillance solution helps prevent patient falls.
The Retina.AI platform specializes in ophthalmological screening. It analyzes fundus photographs and OCT, detecting diabetic retinopathy, macular edema and other pathologies.
AI solutions have also been implemented to assist rehabilitation physicians. The Sensoria platform analyzes human movement through RGB and infrared cameras tracking 30+ body points, creating personalized recovery programs. This product helps reduce chronic pain levels in 70% of patients and cuts recovery time after joint replacement by one-third. It has been implemented in more than 25 regions from Moscow to the Far East.
Russia also uses AI products in dentistry, such as DENTOMO for interpreting cone beam CT. The medical device addresses the shortage of dental radiologists – up to 90% of CBCT scans in Russia remain without reports. Another solution, Celly, turns a regular microscope into a digital scanner. The microscope automatically captures the specimen, analyzes it with a neural network and delivers results within minutes. The AI identifies blood cells, parasites, tumor cells, and confirms Pap test results.
Quality control of treatment is critical for clinics. Doctor Nearby company presented a tool for automatic analysis of medical records. It uses NLP models trained on more than 300,000 clinical cases, checking for logical inconsistencies between complaints, diagnoses and prescriptions. The system integrates with medical information systems and processes hundreds of thousands of records in 16 Russian regions.
Investments in the development of medical AI products in Russia totaled 4.7 billion rubles in 2018-2024 – primarily government funds spent on implementing medical image analysis services. In 2023-2024, there were more than 400 implementations of registered AI medical devices across 84 Russian regions, meaning each region averages about 4-5 services. According to the Russian Ministry of Health's plan, by 2030 each region will use at least 12 solutions for medical data analysis.
